Baby boomers are placing a greater emphasis on their health by joining gyms for physical activity and to provide an outlet for social interaction.
According to a Michigan newspaper, the Jackson Citizen Patriot, gym membership in the 55-plus crowd has risen, especially among women, as kickboxing and aerobics are being replaced by easier-on-the-body exercises like yoga, Pilates and more.
“People tell me they tripped the other day but didn’t fall because of the balance work in class," Jim Scott, professor of health and fitness at Jackson Community College in Michigan, told the newspaper. "Or, they are now able to carry the salt to the water softener. Seeing results like that keeps people coming to this class."
Baby boomers are strongly encouraged to practice healthy lifestyle choices for the sake of their well-being, in addition to it being important for creating affordable options in the life insurance world. Exercising and eating right from an early age not only increases longevity but delays serious health issues, which could raise life insurance quotes. Comparing life insurance quotes online is an effective way to learn just how much coverage is needed for specific consumers, considering their health and other circumstances.
