New life insurance app launched for the iPad

AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company recently announced the launch of a new life insurance application available for Apple's iPad.
The purpose of the app is to inform the company's policyholders and potential buyers of the benefits associated with AXA Equitable's Athena Indexed Universal Life insurance policy. The policy offers a death benefit coverage as well as accumulation of cash value and down market risk management.
"Assessing one's life insurance needs can be a daunting task," said Connie O'Brien, senior vice president of Internet Strategy and Development for AXA Equitable. "We've created our iPad app to help break down that barrier and make it easier for people to learn how to protect their loved ones and businesses."
The app also includes calculators to determine the financial protection needs of potential policyholders. Consumers interested in a life insurance policy should calculate the annual expenses incurred by their dependents, factor in the cost of a funeral should the unexpected happen, and add future costs such as tuition payments for their children.
