Thomas Cunningham, the vice president, senior economist and regional executive of the Federal Reserve Bank, was recently announced as the keynote speaker of the Life Insurance Settlement Association's Fall Settlement Conference, which will be held in Atlanta on October 3-5, according to MarketWatch.

Additional speakers will cover topics such as longevity and life expectancy, standards and ethics and general insurance settlement practices.

"This conference is set to address the real pressing questions in the minds of investors and life settlement professionals," said LISA's business manager, Will Menezes. "We are working hard to indentify speakers who can deliver high-level content from a broader perspective in the life settlement industry."

LISA, one of the country's largest organizations of Life Insurance settlement professionals, represents more than 80 percent of licensed life insurance settlement businesses in the United States, and awards CE and CLE credits to qualified attendees of the conference.

The Bureau projects that between 2008 and 2018, employment for agents is expected to grow by 18 percent, employing some 486,400 people in the United States.
