Life insurance company announces launch of iPad app for agents

Loyal American Life Insurance Company recently announced the release of an iPad app designed to expedite enrollment processes for businesses and individuals, providing life insurance agents with a valuable tool that makes them more available to clients and less bogged-down in paperwork, according to Insurance Business Review.

The app allows agents to compare policies digitally and navigate enrollment and benefits information quickly and easily, making the process of connecting clients with the right insurance policy much easier. The app, called Express App, will also be able to provide clients with instant quotes for health benefits and critical illness plans. Eventually, the software may be expanded to provide services for more of Loyal American's life insurance products.

Brad Wolfram, president of the Great American Supplemental Benefits Group, of which Loyal American is a member, noted that analysis of various agent responsibilities and processes led to the development of the app, and he believes it will succeed in optimizing their understanding of product benefits, providing clients with strong insurance services.

As the life insurance market has seen a downturn in recent years, many life insurance companies are thinking outside the box in an effort to attract customers. Some, like Loyal American, use new technology to make the enrollment process less daunting while others offer hybrid products like life insurance policies with long-term care riders.
