Allianz Life hires new chief information officer

Allianz Life Insurance Company recently hired Jeff Palm as its new senior vice-president and chief information officer.

The announcement followed Allianz being named the leader in the global life insurance market. In Palm's new role, he is expected to lead Allianz Life's IT department and answer to the senior administrative officer, Walter White.

"As we continue to focus on technology as a critical driver of our business success, Jeff's experience and leadership will be important to the growth and profitability of our business," White said. "By adding Jeff's expertise to our current IT senior leadership team, we are exceptionally well-positioned for technology execution and innovation."

Allianz Life Insurance has been providing life insurance for more than a century and has received top ratings from customers and experts.

According to LIMRA, there are 11 million households in the United States with children under 18 who have no life insurance. The company encourages exploring life insurance options so customers will be able to achieve their retirement income goals with a variety of annuities and life insurance products.
