The U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce has announced the creation of national financial and business service enterprises which will give women the ability to improve their retirement planning and help grow their businesses.
This new leadership model will begin with a program for retirement planning aimed at small business owners. The USWCC SmartRETIRE 401k plan will provide business owners who were previously unable to afford 401(k) plans for their employees with an independent investment management program that has low costs to start and run, reduced fiduciary risk, and the support of the chamber.
This 401(k) program is a Multiple Employer Plan available to all small business members of the chamber. The program allows several adopting employers that have similar retirement savings objectives to join forces in one plan. Combining businesses allows the plan to offer the value and affordability that was historically only given to big businesses. Members may also be given advisement on annuities and other savings plans.
"Women no longer have to hope that the financial services industry will provide us with the affordable, trusted, well managed tools we need to plan and retire with confidence," says Janette Davis, CEO of USWCC Money. "Now, we are taking the lead and driving ourselves."
