The results of a new poll suggest that New Jersey baby boomers are worried about losing their jobs as well as the future of Social Security.
The Kean University/New Jersey Speaks poll surveyed 1,000 employed New Jersey residents between the ages of 47 and 65, and found 21 percent are "very worried" about the possibility of losing their job. In addition, 85 percent said they are worried about the future of the Social Security program.
"It’s not just a matter of, ‘They leave and they’re replaced by younger people’," Terry Golway, poll author, told the New Jersey Star-Ledger. "The emotional toll that it may take on families if older people, grandparents, feel they have to move, if they say, ‘I lived in New Jersey all my life, my roots are in New Jersey, my family’s in New Jersey."
Financial worries are nothing new as baby boomers across the country are struggling to stay gainfully employed and provide the necessary support for their families. The right life insurance policy will supplement any job and will allow for the financial support of the policyholder's family long after he or she passes away. In order to find the right policy, consumers are encouraged to compare life insurance quotes online and pick the price most attractive to them for the coverage they need.
