Insurance Information

Who will see my personal information?

There are two types of personal information that are concerned in a life insurance application process.  First is the information about yourself that you submit to the insurer.  Second is the information about you that the insurer obtains on its own.

The information that you submit to the insurer passes through Wholesale Insurance.  We guard your information carefully because your application includes your contact information, and some applicants include sensitive information in their applications.  Even when you just request a quote online, we protect your information by encrypting all quoting transactions on a secure socket layer (note the "https" protocol on the life insurance quotes page).

Some websites look like real life insurance agencies but actually only sell your contact information.  At Wholesale Insurance, we do not let anyone see your personal information except for the insurer(s) you have selected to apply to.

When you apply to an insurer, an underwriter at the insurance company will request your medical records and perhaps look into your other records, like your driving history and credity history, as these annals provide clues as to your mortality risk.  This information may be reviewed and assessed by a qualified staff consisting of medical directors, underwriters, underwriting assistants or other related employees involved in the submission, receipt or evaluation of insurance applications.

Your personal information will be held in confidence and used only for the purpose of determining whether you qualify for the coverage you are seek.
