- Effective Date
- The actual date that the insurance policy becomes effective.
- Endorsement
- A written agreement attached to an insurance policy that amends the
coverage by adding or subtracting coverage.
- Estate Planning
- The act of planning for the eventual distribution of your assets at
the time of your death.
- Evidence Clause
- A provision in the policy that requires the insured to cooperate in
any investigation into the validity of a claim.
- Evidence of Insurability
- Health information such as attending physician's statements, medical
exams or lab results required by the underwriting process.
- Exclusions
- Certain specified perils that are not covered by the provisions of the policy. A common exclusion for a life insurance policy might be
a hazardous sport such as rock climbing.
- Expiry
- The date that a policy ceases coverage.
