Pinney will receive the award May 17, 2011, at the NAIFA-California Annual Meeting in Anaheim, California.

Pinney, an accomplished business leader, speaker and political activist, is a former President of NAIFA-California, the largest state organization within the NAIFA Federation. He was a founding board member of the Eureka Schools Foundation and the Sacramento Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge, and served as President of his local Kiwanis Club and the Roseville Joint Union High School District, where he continues to serve as an elected member of the Board of Trustees. He has also served in a number of youth focused positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently is Assistant District Chairman of the Iron Horse District of the Boy Scouts of America.
